the works.
mission: head to merlion to catch a glimpse of the fireworks display.
players: gf and myself
friend: "the best place to watch the fireworks is at merlion"
myself: "alright thanks."
friend: "the best place to watch the fireworks is at merlion"
myself: "alright thanks."
so the mission began. as you might have noticed
(or read, or seen personally which ever you prefer),
most of the roads surrounding the padang was closed.
commuters had a difficult time finding a place to park and so on.
we ended up following the crowd from city hall all the way to esplanade.
this was indeed a bad move on our part and to our dismay,
we have fallen into, a trap.
there was no way in hell, that we we going to merlion, from esplanade.
the roads were closed and we could not, cross.
thousands too had fallen prey to this evil plot.
HOWEVER, there was a way to pass through.
the carpark (!!!!), which has an underground connection to the other side of the road.
nice thinking ey.
true enough, there was nobody there. with some slick moves,
we avoided the we-are-the-super-vigilant police officers.
the door leading to the other side of the road was within our grasp.
haha, at last, a national day where you could watch the fireworks in all its splender.
"OI, OI where you people going ?!"
...
"why are you here ?! this is restricted access !"
...
it was the ARMY LAH. we were caught by army officials.
woohoo.
so we ended up there instead. (see pic)
happy bday sg.
